This ‘choose-your-own-adventure’ begins in the colonial city of Quito before boarding the Galapagos Adventurer Yacht. Take in the sights of the Galapagos Islands over a 4, 5 or 8 day journey before continuing on to experience the wonders of Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley and the historic city of Cusco.
The Galapagos Adventurer is a modern, air-conditioned 65-foot motor vessel with a capacity of 16 passengers. Spacious cabins feature a window, upper and lower berths and private bath. A staff of 8 includes a certified naturalist guide, ensuring you are in good hands both onboard and on land. Recently refurbished, the ship also features a cozy bar, small library and a dining room.

Arrive in Quito at any time and overnight in hotel.
Day 2: Baltra/North Seymour: All meals
Day 3: Rabida / Puerto Egas: All meals
Day 4: Sombrero Chino / Bartolomé: All meals
Day 5: Santa Fé / South Plaza: All meals
Day 6: Santa Cruz: Breakfast
Day 7: Quito - Cusco: Breakfast
Transfer to the airport for flight to Cusco (via Lima). Upon arrival in Cusco you are transferred to your hotel room where you have some time to rest and acclimatise to the altitude (3200m above sea level).
Day 8: Cusco City Tour: Breakfast
Morning free. In the afternoon, we enjoy a sightseeing tour of the heart of the Inca Empire including the Koricancha Temple of the Sun, the 12-Angled Rock, and the Cathedral, built on the ruins of an Inca Palace.
Next we visit the archaeological remains around the city, including the fortress of Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo the giant rock, the ancient site of Puca Pucara and finally the Water Temple of Tambomachay. Reutrn to the hotel for overnight.
Day 9: Sacred Valley of the Inca: Breakfast and Lunch
Today, we explore the "Sacred Valley of the Incas". This fertile river valley was home to many important sites for the Incas, both strategic and religious.
Our first stop is the village of Pisac, with its famous market, where you can pick up a bargain! You have free time to wander the colourful market stalls before we have a typical Andean lunch at a local restaurant (included).
We then continue our journey along the River Urubamba, to Ollantaytambo, the best surviving example of Inca town planning and dominated by a giant Inca fortress, which was the scene of a famous victory for the Incas against the invading Spanish Conquistadors.
We return to Cusco in the early evening, and you may like to sample some of Cusco's famous nightlife.
Day 10: Machu Picchu: Breakfast
After an early breakfast, we leave the hotel to take the train to Machu Picchu. After an impressive train ride of 4 hours through mountain valleys, cloud forest, and high rainforest, we reach this wonder of the world. Here the ’Lost City of the Incas’ occupies a ridge spur high above the raging Vilcanota River.
We have a guided tour of the site, as well as some free time to appreciate this amazing place. For the energetic, there is the chance to climb the emblematic Huayna Picchu (Little Mountain).
At the end of the day you descend by bus to the small town of Aguas Calientes to take the train back to Cusco.
Optional: Overnight in Machu Picchu.
Day 11: Cusco - Lima: Breakfast
Today is at your leisure to do some last minute shopping or sightseeing, before your transfer back to the airport for flight to Lima where the tour ends.
